A: if you want more slots on your ventrilo, please contact support at support@game-hosting.com and give your server ip and how many slots you want.

We will add the xtra slots and deduct the amount by lowering the amount of days left until you have to pay again.

A: To enable VAC, don't change the configfiles manually. Instead activate VAC2 from the control panel. By choosing the mod and clicking "set modules"
If you still have a problem after activating it, please restore the server with the restore button on the control panel, then it will work.

A: To be able to access the server logs you need to have logged enabled on your server. This is controlled by the servers configuration file which is found on the ftp and the filename is diffrent from different games, in for example CS1.6 the config file is hlds_l/cstrike/server.cfg.
the logs you can download directly form the ftp, if you want to save the logs make sure you download them directly after you have played your match, becuase old logs are cleaned out from the system to save diskspace.

A: To run a traceroute perform the following tasks
1) choose run from the start menu
2) type in cmd.exe and push enter
3) in the window that appears type in:
date /t & time /t
this will show the current date and time which is important to know for us when the traceroute was done.
output may look like:

then type:
"tracert 194.17.45.70" without the " replace the IP number with the IP number to your gameserver.
4) mark the contents of the entire window by right clicking the mouse and chosing mark, then mark the contents with the mouse and push enter.
5) Paste the contents of your copy buffer into an email to support@game-hosting.com

A: Before you want to move the server to another location, please press the stop button first. Then you can go ahead with choosing your location and pressing the button "Set Location"

A: if the custom map is for example mp_pk_harbor you upload to /usermaps/mp_pk_harbor/ from the cod4 root folder
example: cod411077/usermaps/mp_pk_harbor

the .ff and .iwd files that belong to the map is placed in that folder

after this is done you must restart your server.

A: The ftp information can be found at the bottom of the controlpanel. there is also a link which opens a ftp connection directly in a new window.

If you are using Internet Explorer 7, first click the ftp link, a new window opens, then click Page, and then click Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer.

on the ftp you may notice that some files are links and cannot be overwritten directly. You can however delete the linked file, then upload your own copy of that perticular file.

by using IE7 you can easily delete the linked files.

If you do not have IE7 please contact us at support. You can test IE6 as well of course.

A: This is what you should do when you want to use bf2cc to control your gameserver:

1) Start server from server admin panel by pressing the restart button.
2) Download bf2cc latest version from www.bf2cc.com
3) Open bf2cc
4) Press the + sign to add a new server.
5) Enter the name of the server, then press ok.
6) Under login settings, connection type, press bf2ccdeamon.
7) Then under ip, enter your server ip
8) Under port you write: 16570
9) Under chat name you write: admin
10) Under password you write: admin
11) then press the login button.

You should now be able to use bf2cc. remember when bf2cc is enabled use bf2cc controls to control server not the controls on Game-Hosting? server admin panel.

A: First the member must register as a user on the site.

Then the members can send a join request, search for your clan in the "Search clan" box on the right side of the home page, then click request to join on the clan page. Its the clan leader which accept members to the clan on the same site. You cannot as a clan leader add a member, they must ask for permission to join the clan.

A: The binding time is the amount of months you buy, if you buy 4 months time you pay in advance for 4 months usage at a time. You get a discount if you buy more months in advance, you can choose to buy as little as 1 month time. If you have a creditbased server with limited credits the server does not have a binding/expire time.

A: If you pay directly online, your server is up directly after you have pressed the pay button. Our system installs and configures your server automatically without manual intervention from Game-hosting personell. Some times the payments on paypal will need to undergo a manual handling of the payment.

A: To be able to upload the flashbug fixed maps on CS 1.6 you first have to remove the old maps with the same name. When that is done you upload the new ones.

A: This is because the payment has gone to manual set up by us. this means that you have to contact us to get the server up. Please send your order number and paypal transaction id to support@game-hosting.com

this happens to very few transactions.

A: It is not possible to use/purchase the old version of Ventrilo. this is not allowed from the owners of ventrilo. the owners of the ventrilo brand has said that only the latest version of ventrilo should be available.

A: The first thing you must do is to register a clan. you can do that when you are logged in. top right.

then you send a mail to support@game-hosting.com with your server id and clan name and tell us to move the server to your clan.

then you get your friends to register at our website and use the search clan function.

You find that on the right hand side. There they write the name of the clan and the clan appears. press the name of the clan and they will get to the clan page.

There they can ask to join the clan. do so and you as the CL and founder of the clan can go in and accept them to the clan and make them trustees. your friends can now control your server without you giving out your username and password.

A: 1 Restart your server though the adminpanel
2 Press the server restore button on the adminpanel to get it back in a working state

A: All private servers have a fixed maximum number of players, all public servers gives you a choise of the number of players when purchasing them.

A: One credit = 1 hour 30min.

When your 90 minutes are up and if there are still players online on the server another credit will be deducted from the account. If no players are on the server it will automatically shutdown, so you don't have to monitor this yourself and be afraid of that all credits will be used up unintentionally. If server is restarted during this period, no credit will be deducted.

Your credit based server is exactly as a normal server; all your uploaded files and configuration will stay intact between all sessions. Your server do not have an expire date so if you for example go on a vacation, the server will not cost you any money when the server is not used. However, when your credit count reaches zero, your server will be removed after 10 days. If no new credits are purchased.

This service is perfect for clans that play less then 52 matches (1 match= ave. 40min) per month on average. It is also perfect for clans that seek the possibility to pay less per payment. This service offers you a more dynamic server hosting. You are able to control your expenses a lot more than before, especially if you fall into the category mentioned above.

A: All servers purchased must have the following servername: "Game-Hosting.com: name"

If you purchase a debranding option, you can name your server as you like.

A: If you purchase a Offpeak server, your server is restricted and can not be used between 18:00 and 24:00 in the evenings. For this restriction you get a large discount on your server. This is a great way
to get a lower price if you can play during daytime
and during early weekend time!

A: You can try the in-game ping time on one of our public servers. If you don't find a server to try the ping times, please contact support@game-hosting.com and we will setup a test for you.

A: All servers are prepaid for the whole rental period. Servers are not setup until full payment is received.

A: Your server will shut down/go to sleep when not being used. you then need to go to the server admin panel to start it again.

the reason for this is that this way we can provide you with our best service posible and of course our easy change location instantly option.

as seen in our FAQ questions here on the site you can get your friends to start your server so that you do not need to do it for them at all times.
