FAQ

Common questions about Fazt.io Cloud.

This FAQ answers common questions about Fazt.io Cloud, including compute models, storage, security, private cloud, multicloud, and deployment flexibility. It is designed to help teams understand how the platform fits different development and production needs.

What is Fazt.io Cloud?

Fazt.io Cloud is Game-Hosting’s open cloud platform for game companies that need high-performance, flexible infrastructure without being forced into rigid vendor models. It is designed for both development and production and provides self-service access to compute, networking, storage, Kubernetes, load balancing, and secure tenant and project management.

Is Fazt.io Cloud shared, private, or both?

Both. Fazt.io Cloud is available as shared customer clouds and as full private-cloud deployments, depending on the operating model and level of control required.

Can Fazt.io Cloud be deployed anywhere?

Yes. The broader Fazt.io Cloud and Managed Private Cloud positioning both support flexible deployment models, including deployment in the location that best fits workload, latency, workflow, or business requirements. The listed public locations represent part of the footprint, but deployment is not limited to that list.

What compute models does Fazt.io Cloud support?

Fazt.io Cloud supports multiple compute models, including virtual machines, GPU instances, Kubernetes-based container environments, and bare metal servers. This allows teams to match the compute model to the workload rather than forcing everything into one pattern.

Can virtual machines, containers, and bare metal be combined?

Yes. Fazt.io Cloud is designed so that different compute models can operate together inside the same broader environment. Bare metal, virtual machines, and Kubernetes-based container clusters can be integrated under the same internal network.

What storage options are available?

Fazt.io Cloud supports multiple storage models, including NVMe-backed local storage, network block storage, object storage, shared file systems, and encrypted volume types. This allows teams to choose the storage model that best fits performance, persistence, and workload behavior.

Does Fazt.io Cloud support object storage for assets, logs, or backups?

Yes. Object storage is available with S3/Swift-style access and is suited to unstructured data such as media files, backup files, database dumps, and log files.

How is networking handled?

Fazt.io Cloud includes software-defined networking with tenant networks, routers, provider VLAN networks, security groups, floating IPs, and hardware-accelerated network ports for virtual machines. It is designed for high-throughput, low-latency environments and also supports DDoS protection.

What security controls are built into the platform?

Fazt.io Cloud includes private networks, tenant and project isolation, security groups, VPN-based platform access, TLS exposure for APIs and dashboards, and encrypted storage options. Security is designed into the broader operating model rather than added only after deployment.

Does Fazt.io Cloud include DDoS protection?

Yes. Game-Hosting offers a fully managed and automated DDoS defense tailored for gaming workloads. It is designed to handle both network-based attacks and application attacks, with layered protection that can filter traffic on-site and redirect incoming traffic through scrubbing centers when larger volumetric attacks occur.

Is Fazt.io Cloud only for production, or can it also be used for development?

It is designed for both development and production. Fazt.io Cloud supports development and test workloads, production infrastructure, and operating models where teams need compute, storage, networking, and orchestration under tighter control.

How does Managed Private Cloud relate to Fazt.io Cloud?

Managed Private Cloud is built on the same underlying platform and provides a fully managed private cloud option for organizations that want stronger control over where infrastructure runs and how it is operated. It combines private-cloud control with automation-first access and full-stack managed operations.

How does Multicloud Services relate to Fazt.io Cloud?

Multicloud Services extends the operating model across both Game-Hosting infrastructure and public cloud environments. It brings together compute, networking, and security across private and public clouds so teams can manage multicloud environments with more consistency and control.

What types of workloads is Fazt.io Cloud a strong fit for?

Fazt.io Cloud is especially relevant for live game infrastructure where low latency, scale, and flexible deployment models matter; internal development and test workloads that need tighter control over compute, storage, and networking; private, hybrid, and multicloud operating models where architecture and deployment location matter; and teams that want open infrastructure without being forced into rigid vendor models.

How do we get started?

The best starting point is a technical discussion around workload requirements, preferred deployment model, location and latency needs, and security and operational priorities. From there, the right platform model and next steps can be mapped based on your environment.
