Fazt Storage

Storage options shaped around how game workloads use data.

Fazt Storage provides local, block, object, and shared file storage for game workloads. It is designed for high-performing, secure, and low-latency access to data across development and production environments.

Different workloads need different storage patterns. Some need fast local performance. Some need persistent block storage. Some need scalable object storage for unstructured data. Some need shared file access inside a broader cloud environment. Fazt Storage is designed to support that range without forcing all data into one model.

Why storage choice matters

Storage affects more than capacity. It influences latency, persistence, scalability, and how well environments support both development and production requirements. The right storage model helps teams balance performance, durability, and flexibility based on how their workloads actually use data.

Storage options

NVMe Local Storage

Fazt Storage provides local storage based on ZFS with NVMe-backed tiers. It is tuned for maximum performance using enterprise SSDs and is well suited to workloads that need fast, low-latency access to data.

Encrypted Volumes

Encrypted storage options are available through LUKS-backed encrypted volume types using Barbican-managed keys. This adds a stronger security layer for workloads that require protected persistent storage.

Network Block Storage

Fazt Storage provides network block storage based on Ceph RBD-backed Cinder volumes with SSD and NVMe-backed tiers. This gives teams persistent block storage inside the broader cloud platform for workloads that need durable storage attached to compute resources.

Object Storage

Fazt Storage provides object storage using Ceph RGW, with S3/Swift-style access, per-project quotas, and configurable rate limits. It is well suited to unstructured data such as media files, backups, database dumps, and log files, and can be accessed through API or HTTP/HTTPS.

Shared File Systems

Fazt Storage also provides shared file systems using Manila with CephFS-native shares. This gives teams another storage option inside the same platform when shared file access is required across workloads or environments.

One storage layer, multiple models

Fazt Storage is designed so these models do not have to exist in isolation. Local, block, object, encrypted, and shared file storage all sit inside the same broader cloud platform. This gives teams the flexibility to choose the right storage model for each workload without fragmenting the environment or creating separate operational silos.

Built for development and production

Fazt Storage is designed for both development and production workloads. It supports environments that need high-performance local access, durable persistent storage, scalable object storage for unstructured data, and shared file access inside the broader platform.

This makes it suitable for internal development and test environments, live systems, and mixed environments where different data patterns require different storage models.

Performance and platform context

Fazt.io Cloud combines distributed Ceph-backed storage with efficient ZFS-based local storage and is designed to support high-performance workload behavior across compute, networking, and storage. The broader platform also supports up to 1 million IOPS to virtual machines, helping teams combine fast storage access with the compute and network resources around it.

Backup, recovery, and operational continuity

Backup and recovery are available across all Fazt Storage types. This makes storage not just a capacity layer, but part of a broader platform model designed to support operational continuity and resilience over time.

Storage inside the broader platform

Fazt Storage sits inside the broader Fazt.io Cloud platform alongside compute, networking, Kubernetes, load balancing, and secure tenant and project management. That means storage decisions can be made in the same platform context as the workloads they support, instead of being treated as a disconnected storage silo.

Where Fazt Storage fits best

Fazt Storage is a strong fit for workloads that need low-latency access to high-performance local storage, environments that need persistent block storage inside the cloud platform, teams storing unstructured data such as media, logs, and backups in object storage, environments that benefit from shared file access inside the same broader platform, and development and production workloads that need more than one storage pattern under the same operating model.
